Building Official - $10,000 Signing Bonus

The City of Umatilla is recruiting for a Building Official. This position performs and administers plan reviews and inspections of commercial, residential, and public buildings to ensure compliance with adopted local municipal building codes and ensures or enforces compliance with City code requirements and State adopted building codes. The Building Official oversees and directs staff within the Building Division. 

Those with two (2) years experience in the application and interpretation of City, State, and Federal Laws, rules and regulations, two (2) years experience in a supervisory role, and two (2) years experience as a Building Official with an Oregon Inspectors and Building Official Certifications, are encouraged to apply. Any additional certifications, especially those with commercial experience, are preferred. Salary $89,868 - $105,636 / year depending on qualifications plus excellent benefits.
