A MESSAGE FROM THE CITY MANAGER’S OFFICE
About the Office of the City Manager
The City Manager serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City, providing visionary leadership and dedicated representation on all matters concerning city government. Guided by the City Council and in compliance with the City Charter, City Code, and state statutes, the City Manager's responsibilities include planning, directing, managing, and reviewing all city activities and operations. The City Manager also ensures financial integrity, coordinates city programs and services, and provides insightful policy advice and administrative support to the City Council.
About Umatilla’s City Manager
City Manager Dave Stockdale brings over two decades of public service experience to Umatilla, with 18 years dedicated to serving communities throughout Oregon. He holds the distinguished Credentialed Manager designation from the International City/County Management Association. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University – Hawaii, as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Not-for-Profit Management Certificate from the University of Oregon.
