PROJECT TIMELINE
SPRING 2022- City staff contracted for design and construction of the Umatilla Entry Monument.
FALL 2022- Engineers, developed plans, specifications and biddable documents for construction.

OCTOBER 2022- INVITATION TO BID ON CONSTRUCTION IS NOW OPEN, CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION. 

WINTER 2023-RE-EVALUATING ALTERNATIVES AS BIDS CAME IN HIGHER THAN ANTICIPATED.

WINTER 2023- SOLICITING PROJECT MANAGEMENT (GM/GC).

SPRING 2024- 

Design updated and presented to City Council for Review. 

SUMMER 2024-

Construction contract awarded to Cascade Civil Corp for $1.3 million. 

FALL 2024-

Construction commenced, anticipated to be completed in 3 to 6 weeks. 

►WINTER 2025 -  

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

DESCRIPTION

The city has partnered with J-U-B Engineers to develop plans for construction for Umatilla Entry Monument. 

Why it's needed-The current monument is old and non functional. It is an eye sore for the public and has become a high priority to update to a functioning monument.
