Nugent Park Playground & Pavilion Replacements
Last Updated: 08/29/2024. |
-Parks and Recreation- Contact: Esmeralda Perches DESCRIPTIONCity has applied for a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant from Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for the development of Nugent Park. The funds will be used for the removal of an old outdated playground and small picnic shelter and replace with new playground equipment, picnic shelter and provide ADA access to all structures in the park. Why it's needed-The City recently adopted our Master Park Plan, Summer 2021. During the process of creating the Master Parks Plan, the City held multiple public meetings and conducted several surveys to collect the need and desires from our residents on our parks systems. The primary recommendation that residents provided was to improve and expand existing facilities and amenities. Nugent Park's location is just outside of our downtown area and located near transportation, trails and schools. This location makes these improvements at Nugent Park the ideal location to start implementing our Master Parks Plan. FINANCIAL
